Grandpuppy.... you heard me.

You're not hearing things.  I called her my grandpuppy.  Lonely, empty nester Moms take what they can get and little Miss Maize will do just fine until the real thing comes along.  The daughter and son-in-law picked her up last weekend.  She started out as the most well behaved puppy known to man but that turned out to be shell shock from leaving her Mom and siblings (I know how she feels).  The shock has worn off and she is in full puppy mode now, racing around their house chewing on things and making the cat's life hell.  I think I may knit her a doggy sweater with "Oma's little puppy" on it.

  1. Ah her internet debut should've waited until I had a better picture of her. This one does no justice to how cute she is!

  2. I think she looks pretty darn cute. It's just that the ears are the cutest part, and they're cut off. Love the sweater idea, just maybe make it out of hard plastic...

My mother-in-law jokes that until we have kids, she'll at least have "grandcats." :)

  5. She is adorable. I hope you have a grandma brag book of pictures to carry around in order to show her photos off.

  7. Before my mom has grandchildren she had a grandcat (well, she borrowed my cat and called it her grandcat). I totally understand!

  8. MHP - Good thing they didn't want a goldfish. That would be stretching it.

Rae - As soon as my daughter takes some and sends them to me.... isn't that part of the routine? I get to nag at her about pictures and visits and such now.

Sling- Not yet but I figure with the dog to people conversion I will be getting a 56% annual return on my money. I have time.

Kate - And here you are about to give her a second grandkid... lucky woman.
